I’ve been taking pictures of so many dogs lately that I thought it was about time I included pictures of one of ours. It’s Molly’s 4th birthday today and I found a beautiful pink bow to put in her hair. Actually it’s a stretchy dog collar but I thought it looked rather cute as a headband. She acquiesced once I bribed her with a homemade peanut butter cookie. Molly loves those cookies so much I decided to share the recipe here. Doesn’t she look adorable?
Peanut Butter Dog Cookies
1 cup oats (regular not quick oats)
2 cups flour (rice flour can be used if your dog needs to eat wheat free)
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup water
1 slightly beaten egg
1/4 quarter cup canola oil
Mix together to form slightly sticky ball. Roll out between two pieces of waxed paper. Cut with cookie cutter. (I use a 2″ dog bone shaped cookie cutter and make about 36 cookies). Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake on cookie sheet for 20 minutes. Flip cookies, bake another 20 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate – will keep for about 10 days. I freeze several packs.
