Winnie and Lacey are best friends. They were pretty much inseparable during our early afternoon spring photo shoot. Where one went, the other followed! But when it came to getting both of them to sit together at the same time…well, that was another story! Both are Maltese mixes with soft curly fur and curious minds. Winnie and Lacey explored the grass, checked out the tiny daisies blooming in the field. Both of them enjoyed the sunny day and Lacey was sure she could smell spring in the air.

Piper
Piper is a young Scottish Terrier. It was so much fun photographing her but since she’s so low to the ground, I ended up spending most of my time in the grass with her! Luckily it was a semi-warm winter day. We played in the grass, she chased sticks and watched geese fly overhead. I wanted to use the newly popped out cherry blossoms as a background so I had my assistant hold her up near the tree. I thought the pink blooms made a nice background for her beautiful black coat shining in the sunlight.
Molly
Molly is a shy mix with gorgeous fox-like ears, beautiful brown eyes and a sweet disposition. We were lucky to have a sunny (but crisp) winter day in Oregon so we could take some outdoor shots too. The cherry blossoms started to peak out and the bright green grass was a pop of color bonus. Molly certainly enjoyed being outside and posing regally with the cherry trees framing her beautiful gaze. Every time she looked at me with those big brown eyes, my heart melted! And I can’t begin to tell you how soft her coat is. She is so photogenic, it was hard for me to not take hundreds of pictures of her.
Sadie and Her Pearls
Sadie is one stylish girl! This black mix was a poser for sure. And her owner provided some nice items for her to model. I brought a pink girlie market scarf to add to the mix. She was patient with all the “wardrobe” changes and oh so sweet! Her plaid coat was especially attractive but I must say she rocked those pearls!
