What a surprise!!

The local paper, the Statesman Journal, runs a contest every year called “Best of the Mid-Valley”. Last year NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography was nominated and was a finalist. This year, NosesTailsPaws was nominated again, made it to the top 5 – and we won the Best Photographer in Best of the Mid-Valley 2022!

It’s all thanks to the wonderful clients I have and their dogs and cats – each one I adore!

I appreciate your continued for your support!!

2022 is off to a great start!

Between Valentine’s Day and spring and Mother’s Day 2022 is off to a great start! Took pictures of Melvin and Jax outdoors and met Hector at the Wooden Show Tulip Festival. Then I switched to the studio for more pics. Talulah-Ru was adorable in the bunny ears and Pearl, the three-legged rescue cat had the most beautiful eyes. Love the five-month-old Lab wore the pink feathers well as did Spork. Onyx the Doberman Pinscher is exquisite and of course it was nice to see Romeo and his mom as well as Ziggy posing on two pillows. Enjoy a few images!

Lockdown -Opening August 1

I took a few in-studio photos when our state went to Phase 2 of the open/lockdown restrictions.  Chester’s Mom and Memphis’s Mom wore facemasks and of course, I wore one too.  And I used a long lens for social distancing.  I sanitize the studio after each session and will make sure I only schedule three dogs per day.  Memphis is a doll…I just love his one up, one down ear.  He posed beautifully.  Chester came to the studio for his four month old photos and then we took more photos outside a month later – again with a long lens.  He’s now five months old and had his first haircut!  He looks like the poodle he is.

I will officially open back up August 1 for both studio and outdoor photoshoots.  Check my website at the end of this month for my Covid 19 rules and for a specially priced re-opening mini session!  Hope to see you soon.

A whirlwind!

December was a whirlwind!  I photographed 105 dogs and six cats!!!  Oh my gosh…each one was adorable and so happy to meet Santa.  I took a break in January, but February rolled around and guess what…Valentine’s Day photo shoots!  And then…wait for it….St. Paddy’s Day in March.  Great start to 2020!

Peace of Mind

For the third year I’ve had the pleasure of photographing dogs for the Willamette Valley Hospice “Walk-n-Wag” program.  The $10 donation to enter participant’s dogs in the annual poster contest goes toward a program called “Peace of Mind” which allows hospice patients to know their dogs are well taken care of while they struggle with their health issues.  This year I photographed 51 dogs!!!  Rescues, pure breds, oldies, young pups, black dogs, white dogs and every color in between.  I loved every minute of the three hours on my hands and knees!! Each of them were such cutie pies.  And what a great cause!!!

Christmas in June!

Santa made a surprise visit at Nature’s Pet Market while I was taking 4th of July photos.  So of course I asked if he would pose with some of the cuties who came for their portraits.  He obliged and I was happy to get some great shots to use for promotional purposes for this year’s Christmas photo shoots.  Aren’t they all adorable?  There’s Ziggy in his 4th of July scarf and Dakota, Penny and Dexter all lined up.  Fuego had a few things to tell Santa about not wanting to live with any more dogs (Loki and Murphy share his home).  Kuna opted for a red collar with bells for her photo with Santa and Spork wore her 4th of July scarf handmade by her Momma. Lucy, the Diva, opted for a Santa hat. Such fun we all had!!!  Enjoy!

Oh what fun!

I had so much fun taking pictures for two recent clients.  Rita is a gorgeous English Shepherd.  She is seven months old and so sweet.  Her Mom lives on beautiful acreage with an incredible view.  Rita was full of energy and super treat motivated!  Hunny the Maltipoo,  on the other hand was so tiny that I spent most of an hour on my hands and knees in wet grass getting sweet shots of her for her 2nd birthday.  Her Mom had multiple outfits and collars for her photo shoot and Hunny posed beautifully.  Enjoy!

Leap

Moved out of my comfort zone last week when I took St. Patty’s day pictures.  Decided to include some people!!!  Very scary.  Many thanks to Shayna and Ryan for letting me experiment with them and Piper.  And also, thanks to Kate and cute little Bogie.  May have to do more of this.  I’ll be back at Nature’s Pet Market on May 4 taking photos to celebrate spring and Mother’s Day.  That might be a good time for Mom’s to have their pictures taken with their “pet babies”.  Just sayin’.   Enjoy!.
